Vice Governor Cris Garcia spearheaded the ceremonial program in the Province in support of this yearβs observance of ππ-πππ² πππ¦π©ππ’π π§ ππ¨ ππ§π ππ’π¨π₯ππ§ππ ππ ππ’π§π¬π ππ¨π¦ππ§ (πππ).
Bataanβs Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) organized the program in Balanga City a week ago. Activities included open forum and discussion of laws on womenβs rights, presentation of statistical data on VAW, and preventive tips against abuse, rape, trafficking, and other gender-based violence.
The campaign theme, βUNITED for a VAW-free Philippinesβ aims to highlight the powerful impact of combining individual efforts towards a collaborative and united thrust towards VAW-free Philippines.
Aside from Vice Gov. Garcia, the event was also attended by Board Member Iya Roque, Atty. Nadine Guzman, Police Captain Cynthia Banez, and PSWDO Head Maria Cristina Lopez.
